hopefully not my last tattoo. I got it for my friend Mike who died
of a heroin overdose 3 years ago. His death served as
sort of a wake up call for me to change my life and here
I am almost 3 years later completely clean. Pearl Jam always was
his and also one of my favorite bands and their songs defiantly got me through some tough times
especially after his death.

Comments: My 3rd tattoo but my first
Pearl Jam one
located on my right inner forearm. This is an Ames Bros. design
from the Santa Barbara tour poster from 2006. I fell in love
with the design and I wanted something Pearl Jam without it
being too common. This was a perfect choice. Pearl Jam has been
very instrumental in my life and my relationships and having
this design on my arm is a reminder that they have left their
mark on me.

with the Indian Hatchett. I have it in the same place Eddie has
his the inside of the right calf. I got the design off of

all in black on my right wrist. In the picture it's just about 2
hours old. I wanted it for a long time but I was scared it would
hurt, (it
didn't) I like it alot. I'm glad I finally did it. My co-workers
don't get it and everyone keeps asking me, what is it ? And
Why'd you get that ? Behind my artist I could see a little sign
that read "welcome to your new addiction" I know for sure I'll
get another one very soon. Not sure what or where just yet.
Looking @ the pictures on this site makes it an even tougher
decision. Very creative little group!

saw them in Austria at Novarock and it was seriously one of the
best moments of my life! So I decided to brave the pain and get

was originally going to get it on the back of my neck.. but
changed my mind at the last minute and stuck it by my hip
instead.

A updated picture of my tattoo for your site. All of
PJ's albums are represented here except for "TEN" which will come
will time and extra money. I hope to fill in the background with
pinkish/red brick off the cover art of TEN to complete the back
piece.
The two women on each shoulder are from promotion posters with a
little of my own imagination. They represent my journeys over the
years to see their live shows.

in April of 2007. The first time i saw Pearl Jam in concert was
the first night in Chicago in May 2006. They opened with
Release, so I knew those lyrics would be perfect. I thought

considering a PJ tat for quite some time. My wife gave me a
tattoo shop gift card for my birthday, shortly after I returned
from the VIC show. She knew I wanted some Pearl Jam ink! Anyway,
the Japanese
wave backdrop that the boys used in Chicago was part of the
inspiration for my tattoo. When I looked at other tattoos of
this same logo, the area below the "M" immediately brought to
mind a whale's tail or a diving bird or "bombs dropping down."
After watching the Immagine in Cornice DVD, I know I made the
right choice to be PERMANENTLY branded as a Pearl Jam fan! |
